Jones is a recipient of the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award and has received official proclamations from the cities of Jacksonville, Gainesville, and Hawthorne, Florida, recognizing her contributions as a cultural storyteller, filmmaker, and artist. Her growing body of work has also been recognized by platforms and festivals including the Urban 360 Film Festival, Woman, Life, Freedom Film Festival, Cannes World Film Festival, GLIFF, Peachtree Film Festival, Nassau International Film Festival, Urban Mediamakers Film Festival, East Village New York Film Festival, and numerous festivals throughout Africa, Europe, Asia, and the United States.
